I disabitanti è una mostra tra arte e design  composta da un gruppo di opere legate al concetto di abitare.

Le opere sono tutte collegate agli oggetti del quotidiano, ma le porte di Patrizia Giambi e Patrizia Dal Re, come la cucina sgretolata di Gal Weinstein, rivelano piuttosto un dis-abitare: sono porte che non riparano né isolano, una cucina in cui non si può cucinare...

Gal Weinstein è nato a Ramat Gan nel 1970. Vive e lavora a Tel Aviv. Quest’anno rappresenterà Israele alla 57. Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte di Venezia, dopo essere stato esposto in numerose mostre personali in musei e gallerie in tutto il mondo, e aver partecipato a importanti manifestazioni sia in Israele che all'estero, tra cui la 25. Biennale di San Paolo, l’8. Biennale di Mercosul e la 4. Biennale di Salonicco.

Patrizia Giambi è nata a Lugo, Ravenna, e vive e lavora a Forlì. Ha collaborato sin dal 1985 con Maurizio Cattelan, col quale ha operato nel gruppo artistico spontaneo Palazzo del Diavolo. Dopo una intensa attività espositiva americana dal 1991 al 1997, è rientrata in Europa esponendo in differenti istituzioni e gallerie in Italia e in Europa.
Opifici Dal Re raccoglie l’eredità della casa editrice Essegi di Ravenna e nasce dalla volontà di Patrizia Dal Re di svolgere un ruolo attivo nella creazione e produzione d’arte.

Riccardo Crespi gallery and Opifici Dal Re present The Uninhabitants, an exhibition that stands on the borderline between art and design and is based on a group of works whose formal characteristics would make it easy to assign them to the area of the domestic, the world of inhabiting. 
The artists’ works all suggest a connection with corresponding objects of everyday use, but the doors Patrizia Giambi and Patrizia Dal Re have created, like Gal Weinstein’s disintegrating kitchen, display, on close examination, a quite different vocation that betrays an urge to un-inhabit rather than to inhabit: doors that do not protect, nor separate, a kitchen in which you can’t cook, an alcove that offers no privacy. Instead of conveying a reassuring sense of hearth and home, once they have emerged from the artist’s studio the works reveal their inability to function, thereby showing the fundamental divergence between the meanings implied in the creation of a work and its actual use.
Gal Weinstein was born at Ramat Gan in 1970. He lives and works in Tel Aviv. This year he will represent Israel at the 57th Venice Biennale, after showing his work in numerous solo exhibitions in museums and galleries all over the world and taking part in major events both in Israel and abroad, including the 25th Bienal de São Paulo, the 8th Mercosul Biennale and the 4th Thessaloniki Biennale.
Patrizia Giambi was born at Lugo, Ravenna, and lives and works in Forlì. She has collaborated since 1985 with Maurizio Cattelan, working alongside him in the spontaneous art group Palazzo del Diavolo. After intense exhibition activity in America from 1991 to 1997, she returned to Europe, showing at different institutions and galleries in Italy and the rest of the continent.
Opifici Dal Re has taken up the legacy of the Essegi publishing house in Ravenna and was set up by Patrizia Dal Re to play an active role in the creation and production of art.
